Who We Are
Founded in 2018 as a social impact Instagram page, We Worthy Women (WWW) has grown into a successful non-profit organization dedicated to advancing gender equality and addressing gender-based violence. Starting as a grassroots movement, our social media community quickly expanded to over 14,000 followers by sharing content to empower women and challenge gender norms. We incorporated as a non-profit organization in July 2020, with a focus on creating actionable change to support community resilience in Nova Scotia, and beyond. Since 2021 we have received a number of grants that have informed and shaped the work we do, including initiatives focused on sexual violence prevention and education within post-secondary communities.
